The Complete Book of Sex Education is very reader friendly without too much medical jargon and is a useful ready reckoner for all.  You could call it the USE Guide.  I predict the USE guide will be used by educators for many generations to come.

– Dr.Suhas Manchanda, MD

The language used by the authors is sensitized to the fact that this could be read by all age groups in various cultures.  The subject has been handled with care. Once the book is out as a hard copy it could well find its place on the book shelf of homes with all members of the family referring to it as and when required.

– Nandini Deshmukh

………………………………….

I am happy that that it is co-authored by Drs. Bhonsle and Bhonsle bringing a balanced male and female perspective to the writing. Good job Drs.

– Natasha Wadia

………………………………….

While the book is pretty comprehensive, it seems to be written primarily for educating children and the young adult.  More emphasis could have been laid on handling more complex sexual problems of adults.

– Karen Williams (UK)

………………………………….

I am particularly happy to note the gender sensitization in this book. By referring to male and female as ‘complementary’ and not ‘opposite’ sexes, the authors have done great service to, and contributed greatly to society. So many gender based social issues can be put into perspective just by the use of the word ‘complementary’. Why couldn’t anyone have thought of this earlier?

– Stephanie Mandela, Tanzania

I have been following these authors for several years through their enlightening articles. I hope this book is just the first of many more to come. Will look forward to the others.

– Rosetta Mascarenhas

The well woven medical and psychological components in this Ultimate Book of Sex are noteworthy. There are many other books on the same subject but tend to be lopsided one way or the other. Moreover, the lack of sermonizing and moral overtones is much appreciated.

– Carl Gibson, USA

Written by Indian authors I would have thought that there would be a moral stand taken on most sexual issues. What is praiseworthy is that while keeping the book specific to the Indian culture it has stayed away from the polar opposites of moral vs. immoral, good vs. bad, right vs. wrong.  The presentation of the topics is neither moralistic nor permissive. Truly objective and thus a great educational tool for the subject.

– Dr. Christopher Martin, Ph.D. New Zealand

………………………………….

Nothing titillating in the Ultimate Book of Sex. Quite a bland presentation of the subject Sex. Good for some, bad for some.

– Fredrick Grossman, U.S.A.

………………………………….

Sex at 20s, 30s, 40, 50s was very well discussed. The topic Menopause was also very informative.  Could have had more diagrams.

– Susan Dryden, Australia

“I was delighted to read this book by an Indian couple. To my surprise the book is refined and written with utter sensitivity that it can truly claim to be the ULTIMATE guide on this subject. It exhaustively covers all aspects of sexuality. The chapter 6 on ‘Modelling healthy sexual conduct’ is a masterpiece!”.

– Robert Goldmeier MD

………………………………….

I haven’t seen a more value for money book on this subject earlier. This 300 pages book widely addresses a whole range of significant, delicate and mandatory aspects of sex.

– Irene Peikrishvili (Teacher)

………………………………….

It was long over due that someone who is thorough, experienced and with a scientific background from India write a book on Sex Education that can be called as the ultimate guide. This book completes that need.  I am so happy to see that these two medicos with impressive academic credentials have done the job long awaited by contemporary Indian society. Three CHEERS to the Authors…!

– Dr.S.Vishwanathan

………………………………….

I have read all Marathi books by Dr.Rajan Bhonsale. They are the best books in Marathi on this subject. The English book by Dr.Rajan Bhonsale was long overdue. Congratulations doctor!

– Prof. Janaki Ranade, M.A.(Psychology), M.Ed.

………………………………….

This is a very very very sensitive subject and even difficult for medical doctors to handle; however I must say that it has been wonderfully handled by the doctor-couple in this book. The language is very cultured, simple and consciously simplified to suit every reader.

– Dr.S. T. Jain,

MBBS – Family Physician & Surgeon

………………………………….

Dr.Rajan Bhonsle and Dr.Minnu are well known experts and writers who have educated masses for over a decade. I have been following their writings in the Times, New Woman, Femina and Complete wellbeing, since several years. I look forward to reading it.

– Carol Coutinho

This book came as a surprise. It is undoubtedly a very well written and systematically arranged manual on Sex Education. It is modern yet value based. It is full of scientific details but yet very lucid and reader friendly. I would definitely recommend it to my colleagues at the institute where I teach.

– Dinyar R. Master

………………………………….

It is a  FAMILY  book. Though writings on FIRST NIGHT, IMPORTANCE OF COMMUNICATION IN INTIMACY, DATE RAPE are very contemporary and modern in their outlook, the restraint observed by the writers does not go unnoticed…. may be… that is why they call the book ‘CULTURE SPECIFIC’. I liked chapter 18 on THE SEXUAL JOURNEY that discusses SEX AT 20, 30, 40, 50 and beyond, very interesting.

– Shweta Bansal

What it is to write a “Good” book on sex education is best demonstrated in this book. The authors obviously have put a lot of efforts in bringing together ALL that is necessary to make the book an “ultimate guide”. A chapter on the author’s commentary on Kamasutra could be added in the next edition, as India and the Kamasutra are synonymous in sexology circles abroad.

– Dr. Sujata Malpani, M.D., D.G.O.

………………………………….

I am an avid reader of books on sex and sexuality. I have been a biology teacher and this was one of my domains during my teaching years. I must compliment Dr.Minnu and Dr.Rajan Bhonsle for bringing out this apt guide on SexEd with such finesse. God Bless You!!!

– Brenda Fernandes

………………………………….

This truly seems like a lifetime work stemming from the research and study of the author couple”. CONGRATULATIONS!

– Kishore Advani

………………………………….

The chapter on Child Abuse is the final and the most well worded. I prey more and more people read this book.
